Leaving Reno, we stop to view the valley from a scenic overlook.
We continue our scenic drive from Reno to South Lake Tahoe. On our way we stop in Virginia City, Nevada and ride the Virginia & Truckee railroad.
We stop for a quick lunch at the Gold Hill Saloon & Hotel that we spotted from the train.
We arrive at South Lake Tahoe and then take a scenic drive around the lake, stopping in Squaw Valley, where the 1960 Winter Olympics were held.
No visit to Lake Tahoe would be complete without a dinner cruise of the lake with the sun setting in the sky
