Our continuing exploration of French Polynesia took us to the island of Moorea.  It is a small island 52 sq. miles in size with a plugged volcano, beautiful sandy beaches and smaller adjacent islands.  We started our adventure with a tour of the island.

After the tour we took a boat ride across the calm green water bay to a private island and had a Polynesian lunch complete with a demonstration on how to properly open a cocoanut and get the milk from it.

On the return trip we stopped in the bay and got in the water with the stingrays and sand sharks.  They didn't seem to mind our presence.
